To those of you already familiar with us, welcome back to our website! For the rest of you, we hope you'll take a few moments to look around and get acquainted. So, here's the deal:

Doug Jay & The Blue Jays are an international band - based in Europe - that plays blues & roots American music. Comprised of an American frontman/singer/harmonica player, a Dutch bassist, and two Germans on drums and guitar/vocals respectively, blues is our bread & butter. However, the majority of our repertoire is original material, and although we mix it up quite a bit stylistically, we never stray TOO far away from the vintage R&B, R&R, blues and soul music that is the closest to our hearts. What we're NOT is a "blues/rock" or "retro" band. What we ARE is a good-rockin' party band obsessed with the sounds of 40s, 50s & 60s. We regularly play festivals and nightclubs all over Europe.
